Hundreds of volunteers from Nyack College and local churches braved the snow to help spruce up the community Saturday morning.
Claremont Park was among sites from all five boroughs that benefited from New York CityServe's "Loving Our Neighbor" day.
Volunteers are doing things like scraping off rust, painting railings and cleaning up debris.
Nearby, other volunteers helped at the Salvation Army shelter on Franklin Avenue.
CityServe says it will host a free celebration this summer on July 11 in Central Park.
