Members of the Fordham Evangelical Lutheran Church and St. James Episcopal Church marched to the Fordham Triangle to sing and pray on Palm Sunday.
They also blessed their palm leaves, which represented the palms used to welcome Jesus into Jerusalem 2015 years ago.
Those who participated said the event helped bring the community together, as well as educate people about the meaning of the sacred day.
The palms blessed Sunday will be burned by the pastor and used next year for Ash Wednesday.
