An organization is helping to feed Bronx families in need especially now as Passover begins and Easter approaches.

Alexsander Nilaj is very busy these days trying to make sure his neighbors have food on the table. Nilaj, who made his way from Albania to America, used his experiences and struggles to start the organization Albanian American Open Hand Association.

Businesses and people donate clothes and food to the organization. In turn, Nilaj and his volunteers deliver the items to those in need.

Maria Gonzales, of Pelham Parkway, says she is eternally grateful to Nilaj for all that he does.

The organization started a year ago. Nilaj says he would like to help even more people, but to do that he needs more donations and volunteers.
