Ready, Set, Fit: Bar Method
Classes at the Bar Method in Boerum Hill help people gain the lean body of a ballet dancer, minus the tutu.
Classes are for everyone, and prior dance experience is not needed.
"The bar method is interval training, which means we strengthen a muscle and then we stretch it, and so you're toning your muscles but also lengthening them.," says owner Katie Muehlenkamp.
Participants can burn from 400 to 700 calories in a one-hour class.
