The son of a former Bronx Community College employee is accused of beating him to death in his Rockland County home.
Steven Alicea was arraigned Tuesday, accused of beating his father, Ismael, with a "weight" bar.
Police say they had been called to their home several times in the past for domestic abuse. The son is due back in court on Friday.
Alicea is currently being held at the Rockland County jail and will undergo psychological testing.
