7 injured in 6 Bronx shootings in 12-hour span

Six different incidents of gunfire in a 12-hour span in the Bronx left seven people injured.

The rash of violence began when shots rang out just after 6 p.m. Saturday on Bronxwood Avenue. No one was injured in that shooting.

Then, at around 8:30 p.m., a man was shot in the torso over on Valentine Avenue.

Police say three people were shot outside of a party on Castle Hill Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. They say it appears those three people were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Police say at around 2 a.m., a man was shot in the leg on East 225th Street, and another man was shot in the torso around the corner on Grant Avenue and 165th Street.

Officials say a 30-year-old man was shot twice on College Avenue just after 5 a.m. Sunday and was critically injured.

Anyone with information on any of these incidents is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS
