Water-filled manhole creates problems for drivers
A manhole, that has been in need of repair since February, has filled up with water after Monday's rain and created an obstacle for drivers.
The manhole, located on Morris Avenue and East 173rd Street, has been causing major issues for a lot of drivers in Mount Eden.
Local community activist Sydney Flores says that the manhole is located on an ambulance route for Bronx Lebanon Hospital, which can be dangerous for those being transported to the medical facility.
Flores says that he has been shining the lights from his car on the manhole so that drivers can see it.
News 12 the Bronx reached out to the Department of Environment Protection for the second time since February, but has yet to hear back.
