Parents are upset after learning that a Mott Haven day care center is going to close for good.

The Pamela C. Torres Day Care Center on St. Ann's Avenue is slated to close on June 30. Parents say the news comes as a big shock. They say they were told that the center can no longer operate because it lacks funding.

Parents say what makes the situation worse is that the enrollment deadline for Universal Pre-K has already passed.
