The largest eye surgery facility in New York City opened in the Bronx.
The Fromer Eye Center will perform retinal and cataract surgery, as well as emergency and glaucoma eye care.
The facility also features an HD camera that broadcasts surgeries live.
Medical Director Mark Fromer says it is the only facility in the borough that will be performing laser cataract surgery.
The facility expects to have 15,000 patients a year.
It is the first eye facility to open in the Bronx in 30 years.
