Popular memorabilia shop reopens in Throgs Neck
Morris Park residents fondly recall a local memorabilia shop that is reopening this weekend in Throgs Neck.
Mike Fata had to downsize his shop, BBC Galaxee, to a much smaller, new location.
The new store sits right off the Throgs Neck Expressway -- all 300 square feet of it.
Fata says he hopes his loyal customer base will follow him to the new location. Some customers have been coming and going for almost 20 years.
"It's the only place we go to when we're doing any business with cards," one of those customers says.
Fata, who says he was born holding a baseball card, specializes in sports cards and other collectibles from baseball, basketball, football and hockey.
