Man shot, killed on College Ave.

A man was fatally shot near Claremont Park Saturday evening while walking his dog.

Police say the 31-year-old victim was shot once in the chest on College Avenue at around 7:30 p.m.

He was transported to Lincoln Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.

Friends of the victim have identified him as David Ingram, and have set up a memorial at the location where he was shot.

They told News 12 Ingram was a fun-loving and caring person, and said he had just recently adopted the dog that he was walking.

Police are still searching for the gunman and are offering a cash reward of up to $2,000 for anyone with information that leads to an arrest.
