Police identify suspect in teen murder

Officials say that they now know who killed 14-year-old Christopher Duran in front of 1174 Sheridan Ave. last Friday.

Police have identified their suspect as Travis Bloch, 25. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighs 150 pounds.

Police say that Bloch shot Duran on Friday at around 8:30 a.m. Duran was hit three times in the stomach and one time in the head.

Duran's family was distraught and at one point tried to break through police tape as detectives investigated the scene.

Police say Bloch has been arrested more than 20 times, dating back to 2001. Some of those arrests are sealed, but some are related to drugs and assault charges.

Officials are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. All calls are kept strictly confidential.
