Teen stabbed in University Heights
Police are searching for the suspect responsible for stabbing a teen in University Heights early Sunday morning.
Officials say the 19-year-old was stabbed near West 183rd Street and Jerome Avenue.
The teen was stabbed with a knife multiple times in the torso at around 3 a.m.
Authorities say that it is unclear in surveillance video who the suspect or victim is, but they say the video shows a man holding a knife on Jerome Avenue. They say blood was found on cars, and a trail of blood was also seen on the sidewalk.
Residents say what's even scarier is the fact that the crime scene spans multiple blocks throughout the neighborhood.
Authorities believe the incident began a few blocks away on Davidson Avenue and ended on Fordham Road.
Police say the teen is in critical condition at St. Barnabas Hospital.
