Amber Alert issued for 4-year-old Bronx girl
An Amber Alert has been issued for a 4-year-old girl from the Bronx.
According to police, Mia Olarte was abducted by her biological mother, identified as 49-year-old Dora Estella Olarte. They say the woman does not have custody, and has a history of mental illness and allegations of abuse. 
The abduction happened at around 5 p.m. Monday from a supervised visit at the New York Foundling, a foster care center at 170 Brown Place. The little girl lives with a foster family in the Mount Hope section of the Bronx. 
The missing child also has Down syndrome and requires medication. She is approximately 2 feet tall with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing grey pants with polka dots and a pink shirt. 
Anyone with information on the abduction is asked to call 1-866-NYS-AMBER or 911.
