Gunman wanted for gas station robbery in broad daylight
Police are trying to track down a gunman who held up a gas station in broad daylight in Eastchester.
According to the NYPD, the suspect walked into a BP station on Conner Street at around 2:45 p.m. Monday and headed straight to the cashier with a gun.
He was caught on surveillance video giving the employee what appears to be a piece of paper. Authorities say he then demanded money and was given an undetermined amount before getting away.
The gas station puts up bullet proof glass to protect workers during overnight hours, but the glass is down during the day, leaving the clerk in this case with nothing protecting him. Fortunately, he was not hurt.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS
