Traffic and crowding at the Mall at Bay Plaza is causing transportation issues for commuters.

Commuters say there is severe crowding at the bus stop in front of the mall during the weekends and at peak rush hour times.

Most commuters say there should be more buses and pick-up times at the mall, along with easier access so that elderly residents can comfortably catch their bus.

"There seems to be an irregularity and scheduling issue," Councilman James Vacca says of the busing at the mall. "The bus stops are too far apart, seniors have to walk long distances to and from bus stops."

The MTA says it will be making an announcement regarding the Mall at Bay Plaza on Friday.
