Firefighters battle flames in University Heights
More than 100 firefighters battled flames at an apartment building in University Heights.
Fire officials say the fire started on the fourth floor and made its way to both the third and fifth floors.
They say it started at around 3:30 a.m. at a building by the corner of Jerome Avenue and West 182nd Street.
One of the tenants told News 12 she believes the initial spark came from an air conditioning unit in the window.
Fire officials say there were no serious injuries, but neighbors say a dog died in the fire.
