Traffic agent attacked after issuing ticket
Police are looking for two men accused of assaulting a uniformed traffic enforcement agent while he was doing his job in the Bronx.
According to investigators, the traffic agent was issuing a summons Monday for a vehicle illegally parked in front of a fire hydrant at West Burnside and Davidson avenues. They say the suspects began to argue with him and then punched him in the head.
Both men were caught on surveillance video. They're described as having a light complexion, but one is bald and the other has short black hair with a beard. Authorities say they got away in the ticketed car, which is a gray 2014 Chevrolet Cruze with New York license plates.
The traffic agent was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS
