Bronx unemployment down, remains highest in city

Unemployment is down across the city and in the Bronx. 



The latest figures from the state's Labor Department show that the citywide jobless rate for June dropped more than a full percentage point to 5.7 percent compared to June of last year. 



In the Bronx, the rate dropped by close to 2 percent, ending at 7.8 percent for June, which is still the highest of the five boroughs. 



Unemployment across the state is at 5.3 percent.
