Veterans, volunteers beautify Bronx buildings
Dozens of local veterans and volunteers are rolling up their sleeves and transforming the rooftops of buildings in the Bronx into works of art.
The work is part of a community-based project launched by three local groups to beautify the buildings in the borough.
They are currently working on a 15,000-square-foot roof owned by Bronx Pro Development. The building is just one of 11 buildings that the group plan to transform.
The group says the current mural will be one of the largest rooftop murals in the country once completed.
