Bronx River Park reopens after fallen branch injures kids

A Bronx park reopened Wednesday after two children were hurt there Monday evening.

Police say that two brothers were filling up water balloons Monday at Bronx River Park at East 180th Street and Boston Road when a branch fell on top of them.

The fallen branch left one of the boys with a broken leg. The park was closed after the incident.

On Wednesday, Parks Department crews picked up truckloads of debris, broken trees and branches.
