Volunteer program encourages aspiring engineers
Third- and fourth-graders from P.S. 443 in the Bronx spent their day at summer camp building robots on East Concourse.
The aspiring engineers worked with volunteers from New York Cares programming Lego birds using a simplified version of coding.
New York Cares is an organization that strives to meet pressing community needs.
Principal Pamela Lee says that volunteering is important to the 8-year-olds because it helps them discover their passions and teaches them the importance of giving back.
