High Bridge hosts eco-friendly fashion show

A fashion show hit the High Bridge on Sunday, helping to give the landmark a memorable opening after being closed for decades.

The reopened span of the bridge is serving as a runway for models sporting eco-friendly clothing and strutting their stuff from the Bronx into Manhattan.

The show's director, Gina Constanza, said she was a little bit nervous but mostly just excited about the high-profile show.

"The fact that I'm bringing awareness about sustainability to all the communities is awesome," Constanza said. "And the fact that I'm doing it at the High Bridge... I can't even fathom, I can't even tell you exactly how I feel."
