Health officials have shut down a Bronx school for the entire week after it tested positive for legionella bacteria.

The Samuel Gompers campus on Southern Boulevard is one of five new sites that officials say tested positive for the bacteria over the weekend.

Other sites include the Bronx Hall of Justice and a post office. Officials say all of the sites have already been disinfected.

The five sites are in addition to the first five locations that tested positive.

Officials believe one or more of the original five spots are the source of the outbreak.

The Department of Education released a statement saying "the safety of the students and staff is our highest priority." It added that the school was disinfected and it will be closed out of an abundance of caution. There were no reports of any illnesses among staff or students.
