Longtime Riverdale residents are asking local officials to make changes to an inconvenient road.

Old Albany Post Road in Riverdale is an abandoned dirt road that stretches from West 251st to 252nd Street.

People who live by the road say it's been a dumping ground for as long as they can remember, but nothing has been done to fix it.

Some residents say the road makes them feel unsafe and are urging local officials to do something fast.

"It's pretty ugly. It's an eyesore in the neighborhood," says Dan Horowitz, of Riverdale. "Would you want abandoned cars and burnt-out cars in your backyard? Whether it's the city, or the state, or the federal government, work together and get it done."
