Residents: Sewage leaking in halls, apartments
Tenants in the Morris Heights building that is known as the birthplace of hip-hop say they are living in filthy conditions.
Residents at 1520 Sedgwick Ave. say that sewage pours out of their hallway drains, bathtubs and toilets. They say it has been occurring for years.
Tenants say that while the building's management company, Workforce Housing Group, touts new construction and upgrades on the outside, the poor plumbing still remains.
They say they hope for a more permanent solution to the plumbing issues soon.
News 12 reached out to Workforce Housing for comment, but has not yet heard back.
