Residents in Norwood are seeing some traffic safety improvements since big changes last year.
The city's Department of Transportation turned the area near East Gun Hill Road into a slow zone. It includes a 20 mph limit, speed bumps and new signs.
Crews have also been hard at work installing a pedestrian island.
The DOT's Vision Zero website shows that there were seven injuries last year at the intersection of Perry Avenue and East Gun Hill Road. In 2015, there has only been one injury.
