Westchester Ave. businesses upset with construction impact

Many stores and restaurants along Westchester Avenue say construction by the Saint Lawrence subway line, where the 6 train runs, is hurting their business.

Some business owners say construction debris and equipment have taken up parking spots for their customers for nearly two months.

One business owner tells News 12 construction workers leave piles of garbage, scrap and debris all over the place even when there is no work being done that day.

News 12 reached out to the MTA regarding this issue, but has not received a response.
