With 14 days until students head back to school, one Bronx blogger compiled a list of must-haves for students who want to keep up with new trends.
Nicole Perrino, known as the "Bronx Mama" on her blog, says there are a host of trendy items to look out for.
The first is a portable lap desk that was actually designed by students.
Another hot new item is a reversible backpack, she says.
The third item on Perrino's list is a raincoat that's made to attach to book bags so children won't lose it if the skies clear up.
Her last items are new planners and notebooks with the latest and coolest designs.
All of the items cost less than $120 together, Perrino says. Many are available at retail stores like Target and Staples.
