Residents beat the heat in Crotona Park
Some Bronx residents spent the day in Crotona Park trying to beat the heat.
Many residents visited the park to take a dip in the largest public pool in the Bronx.
A Parks Department supervisor says the pool has been so packed this summer that they've seen a record 70,000 people visit the area.
The pool capacity is just about 1,600.
They say Sunday is usually the busiest day, but they expect many people to visit the pool in the next few days as temperatures soar into the low 90s.
