Brothers make City Island Bridge documentary
Two filmmakers are sharing their passion for the City Island Bridge by creating a documentary about it.
Since early 2013, brothers James and Tommy Breen have been documenting every aspect of both the deconstruction of the old bridge and the construction of its new pathway. The project and film is funded by the brothers to document the bridge's rich history.
The Breens say the most incredible part of documenting the bridge is that it they will provide their viewers a new perspective with shots taken from a drone.
The 114-year-old bridge spans about 950 feet across the Eastchester Bay. It is the single structure that connects the Bronx mainland to City Island.
The iconic structure is expected to be torn down within the coming months.
