'Pretty Big' dancers tout body confidence

A woman with a big heart and even bigger personality is teaching girls that bigger is better.
Akira Armstrong is the leader of the "Pretty Big" dance group.
Armstrong had appeared on NBC's "America's Got Talent," but was cut from the show in July.
Prior to being on the show, Armstrong was in Beyonce's "Green Light" and "Get Me Bodied" music videos.
"I feel like shape and size doesn't really have anything to do with it, but because we are who we are, this is why it's 'pretty big,'" she says.
The group's hip-hop dance moves and statement T-shirts get them noticed frequently.
"We rehearse three times a week and you have to be curvy and full-figured to be a part of this movement," Armstrong says.
Armstrong says that she is now working on a monologue where each dancer plays a voice of a larger woman, striving for the spotlight. She hopes to take the monologue to Broadway.
