Man breaks into several cars in Longwood
Longwood neighbors say a man broke into several cars on Westchester Avenue early Wednesday morning.
A local store owner's surveillance cameras caught some of the break-ins on video.
The video shows a man who appears to look around to make sure no one is watching before breaking the window of a black van. He spends about two minutes searching the car before leaving.
Local resident Vergilio Arras says his car was also burglarized. It was parked around the corner from the van in the video.
Arras says it's the third or fourth time his car has been broken into this year.
Police say that although several cars were apparently ransacked, no items were actually stolen.
