Police: Woman robbed 2 victims at knifepoint

Police are searching for a woman who they say robbed two other women at knifepoint in the Bronx.

The first incident occurred Aug. 15, when police say the suspect approached a 20-year-old woman inside an elevator on Gerard Avenue. They say the suspect pulled out a knife and asked for the victim's cellphone before running off.

Two days later, police say the suspect walked up to a 44-year-old woman in an apartment building on Elliot Place and held the victim at knifepoint when she refused to hand over items. The suspect allegedly made off with $80.

Police describe the suspect as a black Hispanic woman between 18-21 years old. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt and blue shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
