Lawyers: Trump Tower guards assaulted clients
A group of Mexican immigrants is accusing security guards at Donald Trump's Trump Tower of assaulting them and destroying their property, according to their lawyers.
The immigrants were demonstrating outside the Manhattan building when they say they had their civil rights violated.
The alleged incident was caught on camera. The attorneys say their clients were on a public sidewalk and were protesting peacefully.
"The Trump guards grabbed tow of our clients and yanked them down the street," says attorney Roger Bernstein.
Representatives for Donald Trump's presidential campaign have not yet responded to a News 12 request for comment. In a previous statement, the campaign had said that the protesters had assaulted a member of Trump's security team.
