Mayor de Blasio announces plan to end sale, use of synthetic marijuana following police raids

Mayor Bill de Blasio is announcing a multi-agency strategy to end the sale and use of synthetic marijuana.

This comes following Wednesday's police raids for the drug, also known as K2, throughout the city.

Several arrests were made during the raids and numerous items were confiscated.

New initiatives for the mayor's strategy include public awareness and public health campaigns designed to educate people about the dangers of the drug.
