Crumbling sidewalk injures pedestrians
A woman says she suffered an ankle injury when she fell on an uneven sidewalk near the Bronx Terminal Market on Friday.
Shirley Paisley, 54, says she was walking on 151st Street between Gerard and River avenues when she tumbled down after stepping on cracked, uneven concrete.
Paisley is now on crutches and says she wants pedestrians to be careful along that section of the sidewalk.
She also says she wants the city to make repairs on the dozens of cracks and sections of uneven pavement.
According to Paisley, as she was loaded into an ambulance, another woman fell in the same place as she had.
FDNY officials say two patients were taken to the hospital from the scene.
