Girl fends off would-be kidnappers in Park Stratton
Police are searching for two suspects in the attempted kidnapping of a 13-year-old girl in Park Stratton.
Police say the victim was walking on Taylor Avenue Sunday afternoon when a gray sedan pulled up next to her. They say the driver tried to pull her inside.
Authorities say a good Samaritan then yelled for the man to leave her alone. That's when a second man wearing a Yankees hat got out of the car with a knife. The young girl kicked the second suspect in the groin, and was able to run home.
One of the suspects has been identified by police as 45-year-old Rahiem Brice. Authorities say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
The second suspect's identity is unknown.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
