Woman accused of punching boy turns herself in

A woman accused of punching a 10-year-old boy in the face in August turned herself in Saturday afternoon.

Jathiyah Richards was arrested and charged with assault, endangering the welfare of a child and menacing.

According to the boy's father, Richards told the child, Dave Mohammed, that he should have better manners. The boy told her that she should mind her own business. He says the woman chased the boy and punched him in the nose.

The incident occurred inside a bodega owned by the boy's father in the Norwood section of the Bronx.

Richards turned herself in at the 52nd Precinct.
