The Mets are heading to the World Series, and residents in the borough are heading to local stores to stock up on gear.

The faithful made their way to Modell's at Bay Plaza to pick up Mets shirts, hat and glasses for fans of all ages.

"We opened up at 6 a.m., and we actually opened up last night right after the game - there's actually a lot of Mets fans in the Bronx believe it or not," said George Mancusi, of Modell's.

There will be another shipment of official Mets merchandise that is scheduled to be delivered this afternoon, so residents can stop by after work and school to get all of the gear they need to celebrate.
