NYPD and NY Rangers honor fallen officer

Across the city, people have been honoring the memory of Officer Randolph Holder, who was shot and killed in the line of duty Tuesday.

The NYPD tweeted out a picture Thursday of a memorial to Officer Holder outside Police Service Area 5 in East Harlem. The memorial includes flowers, candles, handwritten notes and photos of Officer Holder.

Also paying tribute to the fallen officer was the New York Rangers.

At Thursday night's Rangers game, Officer Holder's picture was displayed on the scoreboard above the rink.

The wake for fallen NYPD Officer Randolph Holder is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Greater Allen A.M.E Cathedral of New York in Jamaica, Queens. Officer Holder's funeral will be at the same location, but held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
