A fire ripped through a dorm room at SUNY Maritime College Monday morning.
Officials say it happened on the second floor of a dorm building at 6 Pennyfield Ave. around 7:30 a.m. Fire officials say the fire quickly spread to the third floor.
They say nearly 100 firefighters responded to the scene and were able to evacuate everyone from the building before the fire began to spread.
No one was injured.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
