A shooting in broad daylight left two people hospitalized Monday afternoon in Soundview.

The shooting occurred just after 3 p.m. at Boynton and Westchester avenues.

In surveillance video of the incident, a black car appears to smash into a gold car before someone inside the former fires several rounds. The black car then speeds off. Officials say they found the car carrying the victims about five blocks away on Stratford Avenue.

News 12 is told that the victims -- an 18-year-old male and 27-year-old female -- were taken to an area hospital. Officials say both suffered graze wounds and are expected to be OK.
