A Bronx man is cooking up a fast-growing reputation as a celebrity chef.

Zagat selected Kwame Onwuachi, 25, to its "30 under 30" list earlier this year.

And he will appear on season 13 of Bravo's hit TV show, "Top Chef," which begins Wednesday.

Onwuachi is currently working on opening his first restaurant, the Shaw Bijou, but took some time out to cook for News 12 at one of his old haunts.

He says he based a dish off his experience at Cardinal Spellman High School - tempura-fried Spanish red prawns with sweet-and-sour glazed potatoes inspired by the school lunch menu's popcorn shrimp and French fries.
