Man sentenced for violent attack, robbery
The Bronx man convicted of attacking a woman with what is described as a "flying dropkick" was sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison on Friday.
In the November 2014 incident captured on video, 19-year-old Alonzo Brown could be seen running up to Odilia Orozco and kicking her and her then-3-month-old baby to the ground. Brown then grabs her cellphone and takes off.
Fighting back tears in court, Orozco explained to the judge how she still feels the pain where she was attacked and that she is still afraid to go outside unless she must.
After Brown serves his prison sentence, he will be allowed into four years of post-release supervision.
