Police search for man who assaulted employee, robbed a Rite Aid in the Bronx

Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man suspected of trying to rob a Rite Aid and assaulting an employee in the Bronx.

Police say the man walked into the store at 1518 Westchester Ave. around 8 a.m. on Dec. 16, put 20 small items in a black duffel bag and tried to leave the store.

Police say a store employee tried to stop the man, but he showed a razor blade to the employee, punched him in the shoulder and ran off.

They say the suspect is described as a 5'10'' Hispanic male, approximately 180 pounds.
