Police: Williamsbridge woman shot twice in domestic dispute
Police say a 27-year-old Williamsbridge woman was apparently shot twice by her husband in a domestic dispute on Christmas morning.
The shooting happened on 967 East 220th Street around 10 a.m., police say.
Yadira Saavedra Perea's 8- and 10-year-old children allegedly found their mother on Christmas morning lying in blood on the living room floor.
The victim's brother, Sergio Saavedra, who lives with his family in the apartment right above, says his sister spoke to her husband, Rafael Herrera, a couple of weeks ago about a divorce.
Police are currently looking for Herrera.
