Taxi driver, passenger robbed at gunpoint on Vyse Avenue
Police are looking for a man who they say robbed a taxi driver and his passenger in the Bronx.
It happened Dec. 27 on Vyse Avenue around 5:30 a.m.
Police say the suspect approached the 45-year-old driver and his 45-year-old female passenger, opened the driver's side door and displayed a handgun.
The man demanded that the taxi driver hand over his cellphone and cash, police say. The driver complied and handed the suspect $175, according to police.
Police say the man also stole the woman's purse which contained $995.
