The year may be coming to a close, but News 12 The Bronx is highlighting unsolved criminal cases that still need to be cracked.

The first case dates back to the summer of 2012. Kemar Brooks, 14, was shot and killed in Haffen Park on July 27. His friends say he was on his way home after playing tennis. No witnesses were nearby when Brooks was killed. The current reward for information leading to an indictment is $22,000.

Another open case is the 2012 killing of 41-year-old Stephen Easton. He was found slashed on East 178th Street in September. Police have released video of a man wanted in connection to the case. A $12,000 reward is being offered in the case.

On April 8, 2012, police say a suspect got into a fight with several people at Park Avenue and East 138th Street. The suspect got into a black SUV and drove onto the sidewalk, hitting and paralyzing a 35-year-old woman and injuring a 24-year-old man. There are surveillance images from the incident. A $22,000 reward is being offered in the case.
