Freezing temperatures grip the Bronx

Officials urged New Yorkers to bundle up Tuesday as temperatures fell below freezing.

Forecasters predicted the chill to remain in the upper-teens to low-20s overnight into Wednesday before warming to the upper-30s to low-40s.

Mayor Bill de Blasio issued a Code Blue warning Monday.

The city's Home-Stat outreach team was out encouraging homeless New Yorkers to go to shelters and receive assistance.
